HealthyBaby Mothers in Uganda

This is a kitchen. Both this home and the kitchen next to it were given to this woman when her home was washed away by recent torrential downpours - her home was also given to her. She's not sure who the father of her baby is. These are homes.
This is a kitchen in a rural village - you can see pots in the rear corner, the cook fire can be identified by three stones on the ground in the corner opposite the shelves on the tall side of the shack. Here, we are walking down a mudslide towards the village. The scenery down into the valley is gorgeous. The project coordinator admires the view.
This couple is making repairs to the house as we arrive. You can see they have a radio sitting in the window in the corner. Their home is constructed mostly of timber, fortified with mud - which seems to have dissolved a bit in the recent rains, which happen daily in this season. The community-based distributor (the people in the blue aprons that sell the vouchers after verifying whether the mothers are qualified for them) pointed out the water quality, although I noted that the water might have been this muddy for this particular task - while they were fixing their house. However, we weren't clear what they were using for sanitary facilities, nor really what their water source was in the first place - most water sources during rainy seasons are contaminated and as muddy as this water here. This is the kitchen.
And these are seeds that have been saved for planting.
Local kids fascinated by the muzungu (me).
